Wake Up Call
Submitted by jasonbeazell on Sat, 03/07/2009 - 12:25What follows is a letter from a vendor / supplier for GM. Recently, GM sent a letter to each of its partners asking them to contact their legistatures and ask them to approve a bailout for the big 3 automakers. When I read this, I realized that it isn't just a letter to those asking for a bailout from the big 3, but a letter reminding ALL American workers that they need to wake up. You cannot possibly believe that you can go on affording a house you can't afford. You cannot go on living in a $200,000 lifestyle if you only bring home $50,000. It is impossible, no matter how many credit cards you get or how often you win the lottery. I also realized that there is an infection rotting most places of business: Laziness. I've seen it in my own company. I've seen it in almost every pl

Fish Disaster
Submitted by jasonbeazell on Mon, 02/09/2009 - 11:38We've had a big attack of some kind that has killed many of our fish in the 55 gallon tank. It started as a simple ich infection, but then, went nuts, and now it it unlike anything I've read about. The fish's fins are not exactly falling off, but the membrane between the spines of the fins is deteriorating. It looks like finrot, but it isn't, and it is not responding to any of the traditional finrot medications.
We purchased a new 5 gallon tank setup, and moved the babies into that. We then cleared the 55 gallon tank, and moved the sick fish into the 10 gallon tank. The plants were removed, and are now in the 2.5 gallon tank.
I hope the latest batch of medications, and the smaller tank, will help get rid of whatever is attacking the fish.
It's been a while, updates
Submitted by jasonbeazell on Sat, 01/10/2009 - 17:43It has been a whioe since I posted something, but we've had a lot going on. We've setup two new tanks, with tons of fish. One of them is a 55 gallon tank, and another is a 10 gallon tank. The 55 is setup as a tropical community tank, and the 10 gallon tank is setup as a goldfish tank.
For a complete list, see our new fish catalog!
We still have the two small tanks (2.5 and 1 gallon) tanks, but use them primarily as hospital and baby tanks. We have about 20 GloFish Zebra Danios in the 2.5 tank. They are about a month old. I'll have some videos posted of them, soon.
