FreeBSD 7.0

I've been struggling with getting my webcams up and running again with FreeBSD 6.2, mostly because the ports are greatly broken with 6.2.  Most of the ports I attempt to install just fail during the compliation.  I suspect that it is because I have somehow managed to munge my ports tree with that of a 7.x beta tree...or something along those lines.

In any case, I'm going to reload SATAN with the newly released 7.0 FreeBSD system, and I might even throw X windows on there (ohhh..the horror... a graphical interface on a server).  Maybe.  Maybe.  Who knows...it might be fun for a change to run the it from a GUI than a CLI.

I hope that this will at least be smoother an a Linux-to-NetBSD-to-Linux-to-FreeBSD conversion that I did earlier this year.  At least I can throw my entire root filesystem onto the backup drive and reload it if I don't like 7.0 :)
